I used to complain a lot about coming home and how much I miss living alone or being back at school but I think I’ve really overlooked all the good things about living at home. For one, I don’t have to pay rent anymore and instead of eating instant noodles and cole slaw every night, I get to eat my favorite foods every night because my mommy knows what I like to eat the most! It actually feels really good to be taken care of again. Also, one of the things I dreaded the most about moving back was that my life would be at a standstill but thus far, it has been anything but. I’ve been able to get a lot of things that I needed to do done (such as learning to drive) and career-wise, I was able to figure what I want to do with my life and what skills I need to improve/develop. Thus far, being home is truly a blessing and so is being with mommy and daddy again.
For jireh this week, we were assigned to come up with 7 blessings that we were thankful for. Typically I don’t do homework, much less homework that doesn’t even assign grades, but I wanted to challenge myself this summer to not just do the bare minimum in anything. I have a feeling this challenge is going to be bigger than I expect. But for now, I think I can take on this task of coming up with 7 blessings one by one. I hope that this inspires everyone else to take the time to also reflect and think about the things they are thankful for.

but today, the Academic Affairs Committee of the University of Toronto Mississauga passed a motion to increase the Credit/No Credit from 1 credit to 2 credits and move the deadline to enroll in Credit/No Credit from the first drop date to the last (this means instead of having to choose in January, you can now choose in March after getting back a minimum of 15% of your grade in that course). This new policy is coming your way September 2012. Win for students =D

It’s pretty much a cake on top of a larger cake.
The eyes are birthday cake filled Oreos with icing (to make it white), the eyeballs are Ferrero Rochers and the mouth is just giant chocolate chip cookie crumbs! Sooo easy and so cute!
